Acceler8 Talent is partnering with a cutting-edge startup pushing the limits of AI hardware for edge-to-cloud systems. With technology rooted in in-memory compute and an architecture designed for high efficiency at scale, this team is developing breakthrough SoCs that dramatically outperform today's solutions, particularly in power, energy, and space-constrained environments.

 

They are seeking a Lead Power Engineer to own and drive design-for-power strategy across the entire SoC lifecycle. This role is critical to ensuring class-leading energy efficiency and will influence decisions from architectural definition through RTL and physical implementation. 

 

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with architects and designers to drive power-aware design decisions from concept through implementation
  • Develop and deploy power analysis methodologies at the block and full-chip level
  • Perform RTL and gate-level power analysis using industry-standard tools
  • Monitor, track, and report SoC power metrics; manage per-block budgets
  • Guide design optimizations across logic, architecture, and physical implementation teams

 

You should bring:

  • Strong experience in RTL and gate-level design and power analysis (Cadence tools preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of low-power design techniques: power gating, low-voltage design, multi-Vt, etc.
  • Familiarity with power analysis tools (e.g., Joules) and SoC implementation flows
  • Proven ability to lead power methodology across cross-functional hardware teams
  • Clear communication skills and comfort working in fast-paced, early-stage environments
