Job Title: NLP Scientist

Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and innovative NLP Scientist to join our dynamic startup team. As an NLP Scientist, you will drive the development of cutting-edge natural language processing (NLP) solutions that enhance our products and services. Your expertise in NLP algorithms, machine learning, and linguistic analysis will play a pivotal role in shaping our startup's success.

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, and develop state-of-the-art NLP algorithms and models to solve complex language understanding and generation tasks.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define NLP project objectives, scope, and requirements.
• Collect and preprocess large-scale text datasets for training and evaluation of NLP models.
• Develop and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning models for NLP tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, language generation, and more.
• Explore and experiment with various pre-trained language models and embeddings to improve NLP performance.
• Optimize and customize NLP models for domain-specific applications and unique linguistic challenges.
• Conduct thorough evaluation and testing of NLP models, ensuring accuracy, robustness, and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest NLP research and technologies, and apply them to advance our startup's offerings.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate NLP solutions into our applications and products.
• Communicate and present technical findings, insights, and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field with a focus on NLP.
• Demonstrated experience in NLP research and development, with a portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for NLP algorithm development and implementation.
• Strong understanding of NLP concepts, including tokenization, part-of-speech tagging, parsing, and semantic analysis.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy).
• Knowledge of deep learning techniques and architectures for NLP tasks, including attention mechanisms and transformer models.
• Solid grasp of linguistic concepts and familiarity with linguistic analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt NLP solutions to address specific startup challenges.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with deploying NLP models in production environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalable NLP processing is a plus.
