Python Engineer — Backend & Data Systems

💡 What if your next Python role gave you ownership of genuinely complex backend systems — designing APIs, distributed workflows and data architecture rather than building another CRUD application?

🚀 Our client — a heavily funded deep-tech software company — is hiring a Python Engineer to build production backend and data infrastructure.

They’re looking for engineers who are genuinely strong in Python and have personally designed, shipped and operated complex production systems at scale.

The role:

✅ Build and own production Python backend systems end-to-end

✅ Design scalable APIs, services, data models and system boundaries

✅ Build complex data ingestion and orchestration pipelines

✅ Work across distributed systems, queues, state management and cloud infrastructure

✅ Solve challenging problems around scale, reliability, consistency and failure handling

✅ Own architecture and implementation decisions through to production

Why join?

🐍 Python is at the heart of the role — serious production software engineering, not scripting or notebooks

💰 Backed by a $125M Series B

⚙️ Work on complex backend, data and distributed systems

🧠 High technical bar with significant architectural ownership

🚀 Join a growing engineering organisation where strong ICs can have substantial impact

🌎 Remote flexibility for relevant US candidates

You do NOT need previous simulation or defence experience. We’re primarily looking for exceptional Python engineers with strong backend and data-systems fundamentals.

🇺🇸 Candidates must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
