Staff Design Verification Engineer

Acceler8 Talent is partnering with a cutting-edge semiconductor company developing secure, high-performance microelectronics for critical data applications to seek a Senior SoC Design Verification Engineer. This role is central to ensuring robust, functional silicon across defense and commercial sectors. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, they're open to remote candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute verification strategies for advanced SoCs using SystemVerilog and UVM
• Design and maintain testbenches, test cases, and coverage models
• Perform simulation-based verification, RTL debug, and coverage analysis
• Contribute to the evolution of verification methodologies and mentor junior engineers
• Collaborate across RTL, design, and software teams to ensure compliance with specifications

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in SoC verification, with proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Synopsys VCS, Verdi, and Spyglass
• Strong foundation in digital design and ASIC development flows
• Programming experience in C, C++, or scripting languages (Python/Perl)
• Prior experience with gate-level simulations and process corner analysis

Preferred Experience:

• Verification of RISC-V systems and high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR)
• Exposure to FPGA prototyping, emulation, formal verification, or Chisel HDL
