About the job

Acceler8 Talent is partnering with a startup building next-generation AI compute silicon designed for high-performance, low-power, and scalable AI inference. As an Emulation Engineer at this company, you will play a critical role in validating complex AI accelerator architectures on emulation platforms prior to tape-out. This role is well-suited for someone passionate about bridging hardware and software in a fast-paced, deep-tech environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Siemens Veloce emulation and FPGA prototyping platforms
  • Adapt SoC designs for emulation and prototyping
  • Develop and debug emulation testbenches and system-level environments
  • Support pre-silicon validation, power/performance analysis, and early software bring-up
  • Collaborate with firmware/runtime teams to enable emulator use for driver and application testing
  • Work with design and verification teams to isolate design issues and accelerate debug

Required Background:

  • BS/MS/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of SoC design experience
  • Experience with emulation platforms (e.g., Veloce, Palladium, ZeBu) and FPGA-based prototyping systems (e.g., proFPGA, HAPS, Protium)
  • Strong understanding of digital design, RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog), and SoC architecture
  • Proficiency with hardware debug tools, waveform viewers, and logic analyzers
  • Scripting experience (e.g., Python, Tcl, Perl) for automation and infrastructure development
  • Familiarity with UVM, simulation, and testbench environments; SystemVerilog/UVM experience is a plus
  • Experience with high-speed I/O interfaces (e.g., PCIe, UCIe) and memory technologies (e.g., LPDDR, HBM) is a plus
  • Hands-on software development experience with C/C++ is a plus
