Senior AI Platform Architect

📍 Remote across Eastern and Central Time Zones in the US

I am seeking a Senior AI Platform Architect to join a global technology organization investing heavily in how AI is deployed, integrated, and governed across the enterprise.

This role sits at the intersection of AI platforms, enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, security, and application integration. The focus is not simply experimenting with LLMs or building isolated prototypes, but designing the architecture that allows AI systems and agents to operate securely across a complex enterprise environment.

You’ll work across AI platforms, Microsoft technologies, identity, APIs, data, and business applications, helping define how AI capabilities move from initial use case through to secure, production deployment.

What You’ll Do:

• Design the architecture for enterprise AI platforms, applications, and agent-based systems
• Build secure integrations between AI systems, internal applications, APIs, and enterprise data
• Define architecture patterns for deploying AI capabilities across a large organization
• Work across Azure, AI services, Microsoft 365, and enterprise application environments
• Design authentication and authorization models using technologies such as OAuth, SSO, Entra ID, managed identities, and delegated access
• Develop integration patterns around APIs, MCP, tools, agents, and enterprise systems
• Translate business AI use cases into scalable technical architectures
• Create architecture blueprints, technical standards, and design decisions for production AI deployments
• Partner with engineering, security, infrastructure, data, and business teams to take AI initiatives from concept through to production
• Help establish the foundations for how AI is securely adopted across the wider organization

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise AI platforms or AI-enabled applications
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, integrations, and security
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience working with AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, or similar enterprise AI tooling
• Strong understanding of APIs, authentication, authorization, identity, and enterprise integration patterns
• Familiarity with MCP, AI agents, tool calling, and modern agent architectures
• Experience connecting AI systems into existing business applications and enterprise data environments
• Proven experience taking AI or cloud platforms from architecture through to production deployment
• Comfortable operating across both high-level architecture and detailed technical implementation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across engineering, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders

This is an opportunity to play a key role in defining how a major global organization adopts AI at scale.

Rather than focusing on a single model or application, you’ll be helping build the underlying architecture that enables AI agents, platforms, applications, and enterprise systems to work together securely and reliably.

You’ll have significant ownership over technical direction and will work on problems spanning AI architecture, Azure, identity, security, APIs, enterprise integrations, and agentic systems.
